Department: Operations & Maintenance
Location: Mawasem Park – Greenhouse, Al Samha, Abu Dhabi
Employment Type: Full-Time / Shift-Based
1️⃣ District Cooling Plant (DCP) Operator
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Diploma in a related field.
- High school diploma with relevant plant experience may be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in District Cooling Plant (DCP) systems or related operations.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of water-cooled chillers and associated plant equipment.
- Understanding of water treatment parameters and related documentation.
- Ability to read, record, and maintain equipment log sheets.
- Ability to read and understand basic instructional manuals related to plant equipment.
- Familiarity with SCADA / CPM systems.
- Ability to use basic inspection tools such as handheld conductivity meters and infrared temperature guns.
Behavioral Skills
- Ability to communicate in basic English and Hindi; basic Arabic language skills are an advantage.
Work Environment
- Shift-based role with day and night rotation.
2️⃣ Electrical Maintenance Technician
Safety & Compliance
- Hands-on experience in performing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with safety standards.
Coordination
- Ability to coordinate effectively with team members to ensure safe and smooth operation and maintenance activities.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in using general electrical and maintenance tools, including:
- Screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, nose pliers, grip pliers, and hacksaws
- Insulation Resistance (IR) meter
- Winding resistance meter
- Multimeter
- Crimping tools
- Infrared thermal imager (thermography)
- Grinder, drill machine, and Hilti drill machine
- Ability to read and understand tripping alarms and perform basic fault resolution.
- Ability to read and interpret panel schematic drawings and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for fault diagnosis.
- Understanding of electrical load schedules.
Soft Skills
- Ability to read and write basic work-related English, including reactive maintenance reports.
- Ability to speak Hindi; basic Arabic language skills are beneficial.
- Ability to complete regular maintenance checklists after maintenance activities.
- Ability to read and follow equipment instruction manuals.
Work Conditions
- Shift-based work as per site operational requirements.
- Physical ability to handle electrical tools and equipment.
3️⃣ Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Diploma in a related mechanical field.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within:
- District Cooling Plants
- HVAC plants
- Industrial utility systems
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of pumps, forced draft counter-flow cooling towers, and gearboxes.
- Experience in pump cavitation repair, seal leakage repair, basic misalignment correction, and bearing replacement.
- Ability to perform maintenance on heavy-duty piping systems and associated fittings (up to 800 mm diameter) for reactive maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of lubrication and greasing practices as per equipment specifications.
- Proficiency in using mechanical tools, including:
- Laser alignment tools
- Torque wrenches
- Vibration meters
- Bearing pullers
- Pressure pumps and pressure test pumps
- General tools (screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, hacksaws)
- Grinder, drill machine, and Hilti drill machine
Soft Skills
- Ability to read and write basic work-related English.
- Ability to speak Hindi; basic Arabic language skills are beneficial.
- Ability to complete maintenance checklists following maintenance activities.
- Ability to read and understand instruction manuals.
Work Conditions
- Shift-based work as per plant operational needs.
- Physical ability to handle mechanical tools and equipment.
