Assistant Manager – Contracts

Role Overview:
The Assistant Manager – Contracts plays a vital role within RAKTDA’s Procurement and Contracts department, supporting the Senior Manager in managing the full contract lifecycle. This includes drafting contract clauses, ensuring alignment with RAKTDA’s objectives, and maintaining full compliance with UAE and international standards.
The role will be responsible for executing transparent tendering processes, building strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring all contracts meet standards of accuracy, quality, and legal compliance. The candidate will coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to uphold the Authority’s high standards across all contractual engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end contract lifecycle: drafting, execution, monitoring, and renewal.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms aligned with organizational goals and legal frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and industry standards.
- Assist in managing transparent and efficient tendering and procurement processes.
- Maintain accurate contract documentation and updates in the contract management system.
- Act as a liaison between departments and external vendors to ensure alignment on contractual terms.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks.
- Ensure contract language reflects clarity, fairness, and enforceability.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or Supply Chain Management.
- CIPS certification is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or legal affairs.
- Solid background in drafting and negotiating contracts to international standards.
- Experience managing RFPs, tenders, and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with contract registers or contract lifecycle management tools.
- Preferred experience in the tourism or public sector.
