As the Head of Faculty, you will report to the Principal and Head of Secondary. Your primary responsibility will be leading academic strategy, quality assurance, teaching excellence, and staff performance within your department. You’ll play a vital role in driving student achievement, innovation, and curriculum improvement in line with international accreditation standards and UAE education frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor curriculum and teaching strategies within your faculty.
- Mentor and lead teaching staff, fostering collaboration and continuous professional development.
- Analyze academic data and create actionable plans for improving student outcomes.
- Conduct regular lesson observations, team meetings, and performance appraisals.
- Oversee departmental budget, resources, and adherence to safety and compliance regulations.
- Ensure active engagement with accreditation bodies (KHDA, DSIB, NEASC, CIS, etc.).
- Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education & Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in the subject area + Teaching License or Diploma in Education
- Qualified to teach in the UAE
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience; at least 1 year in a senior leadership role
- Proven experience in international school settings, preferably American curriculum
Competencies:
- Deep understanding of curriculum planning, instructional leadership, and assessment
- Strategic thinker with strong communication and team-building skills
- Familiar with UAE education regulations and inspection frameworks
