Role Overview
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the school buildings and ensuring all facilities are kept in top condition. Your work will play a key role in creating a safe and comfortable environment for staff and students alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain plant and boiler rooms to industry standards
- Ensure the swimming pool is kept to industry regulations
- Maintain the school’s paintwork to a high standard
- Repair and maintain electrical supplies, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Undertake small carpentry repairs as per Health and Safety regulations
- Assist with gate duties during drop-off and collection times
- Set up equipment for school events and functions
- Perform other maintenance duties as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a general maintenance role
- Ability to work collaboratively and solve problems with the team
- Strong communication skills and a calm demeanor around staff and students
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to help and perform tasks to the best of your ability
