Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile guest ledger balances and point-of-sale charge-backs to the City Ledger.
- Maintain all City Ledger accounts and advance deposits with timely billing and accurate postings.
- Ensure alignment of subsidiary ledgers with the General Ledger on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Handle receipt postings, adjustments, follow-ups on discrepancies, and aging reports.
- Respond promptly to internal and external account-related inquiries.
Key Tasks
- Process all City Ledger transactions and transfers daily.
- Ensure all charge-back documents and travel vouchers are complete and matched to charges.
- Dispatch City Ledger invoices daily to client Accounts Payable departments.
- Match payments against folios, noting commissions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain Advance Deposit records linked to reservation numbers and notify relevant departments.
- Document adjustments with approval from the Financial Controller and GM.
- Run monthly AR statements and weekly aged trial balances for management.
- Maintain in-house City Ledger accounts and attend monthly credit meetings.
- Support the Financial Controller and Assistant Financial Controller on unresolved documentation or issues.
Qualifications
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
✅ Proven experience in a 5-star hotel (UAE experience preferred)
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality finance systems
✅ Strong organizational, reconciliation, and communication skills
